Maple Ridge, B.C., Dec 12, 2025 — The City of Maple Ridge invites the community to gather at Port Haney Station on Friday, December 19, to welcome the return of the CPKC Holiday Train, bringing bright lights, festive fun, and a free concert by the Barenaked Ladies, all in support of local food banks.

Residents and visitors are invited to experience this brightly decorated train featuring live performers and a free outdoor concert. The celebration runs from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the Holiday Train scheduled to arrive at 7:50 p.m. This year’s event features a special performance by the eight-time Juno Award-winning Barenaked Ladies from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy pre-arrival festivities, including crafts, music, and hot chocolate, as the community comes together to wait for the train's arrival.

"The Holiday Train captures everything our community does best - neighbours gathering, giving back, and celebrating the season together," said Mayor Dan Ruimy. "We're proud to welcome back the train and thankful to everyone who supports Friends In Need Food Bank through this special event and all season long."
