Announcing Maple Ridge’s ACT Arts Centre’s 2026-2027 Season Lineup

Maple Ridge, B.C., May 25, 2026 - The curtain is rising on an exceptional year at the Maple Ridge ACT Arts Centre. Today, the City of Maple Ridge’s ACT Arts Centre has unveiled its highly anticipated 2026-2027 ACT Presents Season, featuring more than 40 performances including rising Canadian country artist and BC Country Music Association (BCCMA) Award nominee, Dawson Gray and Vancouver’s own JUNO Award-nominated indie rock band, Yukon Blonde.

The season officially begins with The ACT’s Opening Season Celebration on September 19 welcoming audiences for a year of entertainment and community connection. Featuring award-winning musicians and performers, acclaimed Canadian and international artists, audience favourites, new productions and family friendly experiences, the 2026-27 season offers something for everyone – from longtime art lovers to first-time attendees discovering the magic of live performances in Maple Ridge.

As valued VIP patrons, 2026-27 ACT Membership holders will receive priority access to purchase tickets early on Thursday, May 28 at 10:00 a.m by logging into their accounts at Purchase.MapleRidgeACT.ca. Single tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, May 29 at 10:00 a.m.

This season’s Mainstage headliners include rising Canadian country artist and BCCMA Award nominee, Dawson Gray; Vancouver’s own JUNO Award-nominated indie rock band, Yukon Blonde; Alt-rock Indigenous Coast Salish musician Black Belt Eagle Scout; JUNO Award-winning country-folk singer-songwriter Donovan Woods; JUNO Award-winning swing blues duo, Blue Moon Marquee.

The Music Spotlight Series features a diverse lineup of Canadian artists, including interdisciplinary music storyteller Kristina Lao; Larkk (Danielle McTaggart) of JUNO Award-winning duo Dear Rouge; blues‑rock breakout JIMI and currently The Peak’s B.C. Artist of the Month and 2026 JUNO award nominee PIQSIQ who blend traditional Inuit throat singing with electro-futurist loops. Additional performances include Rebecca Sichon, delivering a compelling fusion of R&B, neo-soul, and jazz and Vancouver-based contemporary folk trio The Shorties close out the series with a heartfelt night of honest reflections and tender melodies.

Audience-favourite Classic Coffee Concerts return with a five-show program curated by the acclaimed Bergmann Duo, showcasing the enchanting music of Mendelssohn, Franz Schubert, Astor Piazzolla, and more.

The Arts Club Theatre Company on Tour returns to the Mainstage with three productions: Mom’s the Word: Talkin’ Turkey; Summer, 1976; Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women.

This holiday season, audiences can experience the timeless magic of The Nutcracker with the Royal City Youth Ballet Company. Additionally, beloved holiday ensemble Winter Harp, presented in concert with Clint Callison Co., returns for its 21st ACT Presents appearance. Other festive programming includes The Gingerbread Men, a nostalgic Broadway-style musical cabaret and Christmas with the Maple Ridge Chorus, a joyful afternoon concert of seasonal songs, carols, and traditional hymns.

The season also celebrates milestone anniversaries of the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway biographical musical Josephine (10th Year Anniversary) and internationally renowned cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (50th Year Anniversary). Charles Ross’ award-winning One-Man Star Wars Trilogy pays tribute to the iconic Lucasfilm production during its 50th anniversary year.

Additional theatrical experiences include Painted Fern’s breakout and award-winning one-person dramedy, Who Drinks Mocktails on the Beach?! and all-new monthly Comedy Improv Nights from HaHa Improv Theatre.

Families can look forward to fun Family Day programming featuring an enchanting Princess Party filled with music, play, and opportunities for children to meet their favourite royal characters.

Canadian Folk Music Award-nominee Pat Chessell delivers a lively evening of music and storytelling in celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day.

Community-focused programming remains at the heart of The ACT’s season with accessible and welcoming activations continuing year-round. Tuesdays feature Lobby Nights, including literary events hosted by Golden Ears Writers, collaborative songwriting sessions with SongStage, and Live at The ACT, an all-new open-stage series where local artists can share their talents in a welcoming, inclusive setting. Thursday Evening Piano Bars deliver a night of live musical entertainment and socializing. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. inside The ACT Lobby, audiences can enjoy 120 minutes of free music programming from Vancouver’s signature piano man, Matthew Presidente.
