ACT Transition
As of January 1, 2026, the City of Maple Ridge will assume responsibility for operating the ACT Arts Centre from the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Council. Our intention is to maintain all existing bookings that had previously been arranged. As we receive information from the Arts Council, City staff will be reaching out directly to clients with scheduled exhibitions, performances, and events to confirm their bookings and ensure a smooth transition. Supporting artists and the performing arts is a priority for the City. We are committed to working collaboratively with our community to provide a stable and inclusive environment for creativity to thrive as we move into this next chapter for the ACT. Please reach out to TheACT@MapleRidge.ca if you have been impacted by a cancellation or would like further information.
Maple Ridge has a dynamic arts and theatre scene. We offer a wealth of opportunities to immerse yourself with new ideas, explore new points of view and maybe even change your outlook on life.
Experience Culture
Performing (Music, Theatre & Concerts)
Drama and artistic expression through music, dance and theatre have long been appreciated in Maple Ridge. Facilities like The ACT Arts Centre have been thriving for over a decade and contribute to the cultural experiences in Maple Ridge.
In addition to The ACT Centre, there are numerous dance and music studios that perform at various venues year-round. We have an outdoor theatre in the country and concert bands that enlighten the crowds in the Maple Ridge parks and at our festivals. Performing in Maple Ridge is an experience to be had by all ages.
