About the Exhibition
A Brush with Poetry is the Fraser Valley Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists’ annual juried exhibition. This year’s theme shares how words and images are often intertwined during the creative process.
What artists see and create can be likened to poetry or song lyrics, an expression of saved memories and imaginations. Through the exploration of various paint-based mediums and sculpture, the work in this exhibition invites the viewer to see into the mind’s eye of each artist.
About the Group
The Fraser Valley Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists was founded in 1992, with 65 active members, including 21 members based in Maple Ridge. The Chapter’s mission is to bring artists together to enhance their knowledge and appreciation of art making, foster fellowship, and provide exhibition opportunities throughout the Fraser Valley.
