Proposed at Hammond Community Park on the current site of the Larry Walker and Hammond Stadium ballfields, Hammond Hall and the Hammond Outdoor Pool, the new facility is envisioned as a year-round community hub for swimming, fitness, and recreation. It will be a place for residents to stay active, children to thrive, and friends to connect.

Status
On June 30, Council directed staff to prepare for an assent vote at the Oct. 17 municipal election to obtain voter approval to borrow funds for construction of the three Recreation Ready projects.
Council has received the Recreation Facility Feasibility Study and directed staff to advance early design, site technical work, and cost estimates, and to develop a funding strategy that minimizes taxpayer impact.
