Power Outage Affecting City Facilities

8:00 am  September 3, 2026

Some City facilities are experiencing impacts from the current power outage affecting an area west of 244 Street, south of 129 Avenue, east of 216 Street and north of Lougheed Highway.

BCHydro is responding and working to restore service. City facilities are currently operating on generator power. While essential operations continue, some City services, facilities, phone lines, online systems and programs may be limited or temporarily unavailable, depending on the length of the outage.

Public safety and emergency services are fully operational.

Please note that there is currently no lighting in the underground parking lot at the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre. Please avoid using the underground parking lot until power has been restored and use alternative locations.

Residents are encouraged to check BC Hydro’s outage list or outage map for the latest information on affected areas and estimated restoration times. Please plan your visit to City facilities accordingly.

The City will share updates as more information becomes available.
