About the Performance
A cast of locally and internationally celebrated burlesque performers will be steaming up the Studio Theatre at the ACT in a cabaret style show for up close burlesque story telling. Our show was voted top in ENTERTAINMENT category by “Community Votes 2025”.
Bells and Whistles Burlesque features a taste of music, and drag, plus and a copious serving of burlesque. The show gives a nod to the rich history of burlesque, celebrating the provocative allure, the slow reveal, the opulent costumes and fancy props such as fans, silks, boas and gloves. The show will be curated in the tradition of burlesque aesthetic, but with a modern artistic messaging. All types of bodies, genders, ages, and abilities will be on the stage.
Bells and Whistles Burlesque will be a fun and extravagant night on the town, and brings adult fun and entertainment to Maple Ridge. It is a perfect night out with friends or a date night sure to impress.
Our September show is less classic burlesque and more neo-burlesque with a bit of “nerdlesque” thrown in.

With Special Guest Performer
We will be welcoming an international guest, Dulce D’Jour. Dulce has been serving face, fabric, and funk since her burlesque debut in 2018. Her smoldering eyes and thick carmel thighs have attracted the attention of audiences all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Dulce has peeled from coast to coast, bringing her expressive face and fluid movement style to the Pacific Northwest Burlesque Festival, where she placed third in the Monarch competition. Her expert musicality and funky flair earned her featured performer slots at What the Funk Festival 2022 and the RVA Burlesque Festival in 2023.
This Cuban cutie is one of the co-founders of Papaya Magic Cabaret, an all-Latine burlesque troupe based in her hometown of Olympia, WA. With Papaya Magic Cabaret, she has performed at the 2023 Burlesque Hall of Fame Movers, Shakers, and Innovators showcase and was awarded the “Keepin’ It Weird” title at the 2023 Oregon Burlesque Festival.
A former bellydancer, Dulce specializes in fluid movements and fabric manipulation. She creates custom fabric props such as veils, fans, flags, and streamers through her small business, Silk Electric.
