Our apparel line and shop were created to give residents and visitors a convenient way to purchase Maple Ridge-branded items and celebrate their connection to the community. The online store is operated by the third-party apparel vendor Key Innovations who successfully completed a public Request for Proposal (RFP) competition in 2024. Payment (with the exception of items purchased at the ACT Arts Centre Gift Shop), processing, production, shipping, returns, and customer service are managed directly through the vendor.

The apparel store provides residents and visitors with an opportunity to celebrate and showcase their connection to Maple Ridge. Many communities offer branded merchandise as a way to build community pride and promote local identity.
The current vendor partner was selected because they provide a turnkey service for managing online storefront operations, product production, inventory, payment processing, fulfillment, and customer service. This approach minimizes administrative requirements for the City.
The City followed its standard Request for Proposal (RFP) procurement and purchasing requirements when evaluating options for delivering an apparel vendor and online store program. The selected vendor demonstrated the ability to provide an efficient and accessible solution while demonstrating suitable compliance with aspects such as ethical production and procurement of clothing, warranty, lead times, etc.
The apparel store is designed to operate with minimal financial impact to taxpayers. Product production, inventory management, order fulfillment and customer service are managed by the vendor. The program is intended to be self-sustaining and City involvement is limited primarily to brand oversight, approvals, and promotional support.
No. Revenue generated through the arrangement will be taken exclusively by the vendor to offset their investment and management efforts on the store. The primary purpose of the program is community engagement with and promotion of Maple Ridge rather than revenue generation.
The City is not operating a retail clothing business. The apparel store provides a licensed platform for residents who have expressed interest in purchasing Maple Ridge-branded merchandise. Similar programs are common among municipalities, tourism organizations, parks agencies and community brands.

No. The apparel collection is intended to complement the local economy by promoting community pride and awareness of Maple Ridge. The products focus specifically on Maple Ridge branding and are not intended to compete with local retailers.
Yes. The store platform allows for future product additions, seasonal collections, and special-event merchandise based on community interest and feedback.
All brand items are final sale. We ask that customers please consult with the sizing charts on the online store to ensure their sizes of choice are appropriate fits.
Our online store charges a small $9 flat shipping fee for all purchases of single or multiple items. If purchasing your Maple Ridge item from the ACT Arts Centre Gift Shop then you can wear your new item home if you like!
