Maple Ridge, B.C., Nov. 15, 2024 — The City is inviting residents to share their input on upgrades to the playgrounds at Fairview Park, Jordan Park, and Pioneer Park.

An online survey is available to gather community feedback on new playground equipment and park features, ensuring these spaces meet the needs of local families and continue the City’s commitment to providing safe, inclusive and engaging spaces.

The survey is open until Dec. 8 and is available online at Engage.MapleRidge.ca and in print upon request.

Project Highlights

The playgrounds at Fairview Park, Jordan Park, and Pioneer Park are set to receive substantial upgrades focused on enhancing safety, accessibility, and inclusive play. These new playgrounds will feature modern equipment that encourages physical activity, creativity, and social interaction, offering engaging spaces for children of all ages to enjoy active and imaginative play.

Construction is anticipated to begin in summer 2025 and is expected to be completed in the fall.  Funding for these projects is within the City’s Capital Plan and the Infrastructure Replacement Reserve.
