The Maple Ridge Leisure Centre recently underwent a renovation of its aquatics facility, change area and lobby. The new facility now includes new accessibility features; everyone is welcome!

Adaptive Equipment

Located on the second floor of the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre, the Fitness Centre offers a wide variety of options and fitness equipment.

Accessible Pool

Aquatics Accessibility

  • Accessible beach entry to the leisure pool
  • All one level (no stairs or ramp on pool deck)
  • Accessible hot tub
  • Vortex/lazy river (ideal for physical therapy)
  • Ballet Bar in Leisure Pool

Change Area Accessibility

The new changing area has an increased number of change rooms, increased accessibility and a modernized space that improves flow and changing experiences. The new change area has:

  • 13 single change rooms with bench and shower
  • 4 single change rooms with bench
  • 5 large change rooms with sink, shower, bench, and toilet
  • 3 large accessible change stalls with Ceiling Lifts (hydraulic beds) varying in size
  • Shower, sink, toilet, baby change table and transfer bars

Lobby Accessibility

  • Open space in lobby will allow for easier movement for strollers, wheelchairs, etc
  • Lowered section of new Customer Experience counter

Canucks Autism Network

Maple Ridge Parks, Recreation & Culture is proud to partner with this organization.



Canucks Autism Network (CAN) was founded in 2008 by Vancouver Canucks Co-owners, Paolo and Clara Aquilini, whose son has autism. CAN is dedicated to providing programs to individuals with autism and their families, while promoting acceptance and inclusion through community engagement and training initiatives across BC and beyond.
