Delegation:  Ridge Meadows Recycling Society annual update presented by the new Executive Director, Alda Nicmans which included some of the society’s achievements. Mayor and Council commended the society for their continued work.
Delegation:  Royal Canadian Legion thanked Council for the construction and thoughtful design by City staff for the Legion Remembrance Day Veteran’s Crosswalk and presented a plaque in appreciation. The Mayor spoke briefly to the history that initiated this project and thanked staff for their work, the Legion for their cooperation, and those members of public who sent in letters and notes requesting the project to begin with.
2024-2027 Property Tax Exemption Amending Bylaw: To amend the bylaw to reflect High Way Church becoming Sonrise Full Gospel Church.Adopted.
11906 232 Street: Rezoning to allow a future townhouse development with 47 market strata dwelling units.Adopted.
Maple Ridge Intermunicipal Business Licence Amending and Intermunicipal Business Licence Agreement Amending Bylaws: Amending the bylaws to include in-home health care and related services as eligible and defined intermunicipal businesses.Both bylaws given first, second and third readings.
22576, 22588, and 22596 Brown Avenue: Rezoning to allow for the future construction of a 35-storey apartment building with 252 dwelling units be given second reading and be forwarded to Public Hearing. Staff be directed to work with the applicant to address outstanding terms and conditions and any others identified by Council, prior to recommending bylaw adoption.Gave second reading, and forwarded to Public Hearing. Directed staff to work with applicant on outstanding conditions.
