Alert Maple Ridge powered by Voyent Alert, is the City's one stop shop for City alerts. Residents are encouraged to sign up to receive alerts related to emergencies like wildfires, floods, storms and other hazards in the community. You can also receive notifications related to facility and program/service impacts such as pool closures, road work and traffic impacts.
During an emergency event, it is important to get information that is trusted, accurate and timely. If you need to shelter in place or evacuate, these notifications will give you the info you need to keep yourself and your family safe.
Registration is free, simple and anonymous. You can choose how you would like to receive alerts, either through a mobile app, email or text message.

By default, all registrants will receive emergency event alerts, issued by staff, as soon as possible. You will also receive day-to-day alerts, such as road closures and facility updates, according to the locations, facilities and topics of your choosing. You can manage these options within your account under the “My Topics” menu.

The only information required to register is a postal code or address (which do not need to be verified as your home address) and a phone number or email address (which will need to be verified to ensure you receive notifications/alerts). If you use a home phone number, only emergency alerts will be sent as an automated voice message. Using a mobile phone number is recommended so that you can receive alerts/notifications via text.

Emergency alerts will be issued by the City's Emergency Operations Centre with support from Corporate Communications. Non-emergency alerts will be issued by the department responsible for the work.
Yes, if you are outside of the City, you can still register to receive alerts. Simply enter Maple Ridge or a Maple Ridge address/postal code on the registration page to get started. Once registered, you can either move your “home” pin or create a new one for other locations of interest. You will also have the option of selecting from a list of topics.

In the event of a critical alert where the public must be alerted immediately, the alerting sound will override your phone settings. For all other notifications, you will be notified via your chosen preference(s), such as text or email, and your phone settings will not be affected.

To confirm your registration, log-in to your account. When you log-in, you will be sent a new 4-Digit Verification Code to your device via text or email (dependent on your selection). Use this code to confirm your registration.

No. Alert Ready is a Canada-wide system that allows government officials in each province and territory to issue emergency alerts through compatible wireless devices and major television and radio broadcasters.
Alert Ready will broadcast without a subscription and at no cost to ensure the maximum number of people receive alerts.
