28th Annual Ridge Meadows Rivers Day

Sunday, September 26, 2021

The 28th Annual Ridge Meadows Rivers Day Celebration of the Alouette River and Watershed.

This year ARMS is celebrating the 28th Annual Ridge Meadows Rivers Day on September 26th, 2021. The Annual Ridge Meadows Event will be held at ALLCO Park this year, with a smaller format than past events. Rivers Day will be on from 10am to 2pm, where attendees will be able to wander the park and interact with exhibitors.

World Rivers Day celebrates all the world’s waterways. It aims to draw attention to the values all rivers can hold and increase the importance of protecting the valuable waterways around the globe. By bringing attention to the threats our waterways face, we can educate and begin to help restore and keep our rivers healthy for future generations. This will be the 16th year of World River’s Day, which was based on the original event of BC Rivers Day, founded in 1980.

The Alouette River is in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, running from Alouette Lake to Pitt River. It is home to many fish species including all five of the pacific salmonid species.

We have some great exhibitors joining us this year including Maple Ridge WlidSafe BC and the Adopt a Block Programs. There will some fun activities for all ages to participate in. This event will be free for the public, with almost all the activities free of charge.

The event will be by RSVP this year as we are limited to 50 individuals for the event. Registration will open shortly.

We hope you are able to join us this year to celebrate the Alouette River!
