How has the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre changed to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19?

New practices and procedures were created to ensure the safety of our patrons, community and staff. Some of the measures include:

  • increasing the distance between activities and equipment
  • minimizing high touch points and gathering places (eliminating equipment, change rooms, water fountains, etc.)
  • reducing the number of patrons allowed in the gymnasium at one time

In addition to the measures taken above, there is increased COVID-19 related signage in the facility to ensure that all gym users are informed on signs, symptoms and risks of using the facility during the COVID-19 pandemic.
