1. How do I use the Bulk Fill Water Stations?

A Bulk Fill Users Guide and Reference Guide can be downloaded from the City website, as well there are posted detailed instruction on site.

2. Will my Operator ID and PIN number work at both Bulk Water Fill Stations?

Operator ID and PIN numbers can be used to dispense water at both locations.

3. What happens during a power outage?

Both stations are equipped with uninterrupted power sources that will provide power for eight hours; this will cover most short duration outages.

4. Why do I have to sign a permit?

The City of Maple Ridge would like to control who has access to the Bulk Fill Station and to have a record of its usage.

5. Will the municipal well on 272 Street be closed to the public?

There are presently no plans to close this well; however, this will depend on the future water quality at the well. The present method used to dispense the water is under review.

7. Why is there a 4,000 litre limit on residential user permits?

Residential users are not being charged for the water and the City does not want residential cards used for filling commercial tankers. When talking to residential users at the open house and observing usage at the standpipe, the largest tanks were 2,000 litre.
