My neighbour's dog won't stop barking, what can I do?
While barking is an instinctive communication tool for the canine species, barking dogs can also become a nuisance to the surrounding neighbours. If there is a barking dog in your neighbourhood it may be in contravention of the City's Noise Control Bylaw.
Please note that in addition to your name, address and phone number (we do not accept anonymous complaints) we need to know where the dog(s) live, type of dog(s), description of dog(s), dates, times and duration of the barking. If you believe that a neighbouring dog is barking due to pain, distress or neglect we urge you to contact the Maple Ridge SPCA at 604-463-9511.
