The ACT Art Gallery is operated by the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council, a not-for-profit, society dedicated to "bringing arts to the heart of our community." The art gallery's mission is to present stimulating and diverse displays of artwork by local, regional and national artists and artisans. It also offers talks, workshops and other presentations intended to broaden and enrich the public's appreciation and understanding of visual culture in its many forms.

The ACT Art Gallery Gift Shop offers an enticing collection of fine craft items from distinguished British Columbia artists and artisans. Quality clay, textiles, glass and wood are made available in the Shop on an ongoing basis, with seasonal changes throughout the year. The partnerships we have forged with the select group of artisans we choose to work with demonstrate The ACT Art Gallery's commitment to upholding `fine craft' rather than the assembled and manufactured items that currently predominate in the retail 'gift' sector.

The ACT Art Gallery and Gallery Shop are located within The ACT Arts Centre.
