203 Street Watermain Replacement (Lougheed Highway to Thorne Avenue)

The City of Maple Ridge plans to replace the watermain on 203 Street in order to increase system capacity to support growth, fire flow requirements and improve system reliability. The works will run from just north of Lougheed Highway south to Thorne Avenue, where the new watermain will connect into an existing watermain. The portion of 203 Street between Thorne Avenue and Hammond Road will also be re-paved.

The City has retained ISL Engineering and Land Services Ltd. to design the project and Conwest Contracting Ltd. to construct the project.

Watermain installation and temporary paving are complete. Residents can expect their water connections to be switched over early in 2024. Final paving is anticipated in spring 2024, when weather conditions improve.

There will be impacts to on-street parking for the duration of construction. During construction, single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect. We thank you for your patience.

This page will be updated as the project progresses.
