Celebrate With Us - Contests & Activities

Cards of Hope is a Facebook group that was created during the early stages of self-isolation during our response to Covid-19. Developed by local educator, Dawn Flanagan, it has connected hundreds of people, aged 2 to 92, with creative messages of hope.

They partnered with us to help create Cards of Hope – Canada Day Edition. The response from the community has been fantastic! Take a look at the variety of art work created  or visit their website to see how you too can get involved.
Maple Ridge is looking at new ways to connect with our community on Canada Day.  This year we will bring the celebration to neighbourhoods with the Canada Day Convoy.  The 10-vehicle convoy will include RCMP, Fire and vehicles with a live rolling performance by The Carnival Band.  We will be travelling throughout Maple Ridge starting at 3:00 pm in the Town Centre core and moving to the Silver Valley, Albion and Hammond neighbourhoods.

Click here for our route map!

The convoy is supported by the RCMP, Fire Department and our proud sponsor Maple Ridge Chrysler Jeep Dodge.  As we pass through your neighbourhood, cheer us on, clap your hands, honk your horn, or just have a good time as we celebrate together while apart. Happy Canada Day!

Each year thousands of people become Canadian citizens across our country.  Canada is a beautiful country, with fascinating natural scenery and diverse culture.  As we celebrate Canada Day virtually, we want to recognize those that took the oath and enjoy the rights and freedoms we have as Canadians.  The journey and hard work has not been forgotten in Maple Ridge, and we want to congratulate all that have become a Canadian Citizen in 2020. Welcome to your new home.  Welcome to our community!
