The City plans to replace the existing south slope forcemain, which is nearing the end of its service life. This investment will support increased density and future growth in the city.

The project is being constructed in phases.
The current phase is the section of the forcemain along Cliff Avenue and 221 Street to Lougheed Highway. Associated Engineering (B.C.) Ltd. has been retained to design the project. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2024.
