The Province of B.C. and the Government of Canada are investing $22.3 million in the development and construction of the intersection improvements to the Haney Bypass. The project focuses on the most critical areas of congestion along the Haney Bypass including Lougheed Highway east and west connections, Callaghan Road, and 225th Street. The project will help improve traffic flow along the Highway 7 corridor, while reducing collisions and improving pedestrian safety and multi-modal connectivity.
The project construction will start in May of 2019 and work will continue to into the summer of 2020. If you use this route for your morning or evening commute you may experience delays during the construction phase of this project.
