Ultimately, when efforts at obtaining compliance with City bylaws have failed, Bylaw Compliance Officers must decide whether the contravention of the bylaws requires enforcement of the bylaw by issuance of a ticket. Tickets are issued for both parking violations and municipal bylaw violations.

To dispute a municipal ticket, you must complete a Ticket Dispute Form, available online or at the Licences, Permits & Bylaws department front counter. Once the form is completed and submitted to the Licences, Permits & Bylaws department, your dispute will be reviewed and an Officer will advise you of the decision within seven business days.
