Abernethy Way Road Improvements (230 Street to 232 Street) and 232 Street Multi-Use Pathway

The City of Maple Ridge plans to widen Abernethy Way to four lanes between 230 Street and 232 Street. In addition, a multi-use pathway on the west side of 232 Street between Abernethy Way and Dewdney Trunk Road will be constructed.

These proposed improvements will reduce traffic congestion at the Abernethy Way and 232 Street intersection and the 232 Street and Dewdney Trunk Road intersection. At the same time, the multi-use path on 232 Street will expand the City’s active transportation network by connecting the existing multi-use paths on Abernethy Way and 232 Street south of Dewdney Trunk Road.

The City of Maple Ridge held a virtual information session on Thursday, March 24, 2022, to discuss the improvements proposed to this corridor. You can view the proposed design from the event here.
