Calling artists of all ages! Celebrate Culture Days with the Maple Ridge Public Library’s Tiny Art Show. Pick up your tiny canvas (3”x3”) at the library starting Thurs, Sept 21 and drop off your finished masterpiece before Thurs, Oct 5. Come see your art on display in the library between Fri, Oct 6 and Sun, Oct 15. While supplies last.

Explore Métis culture through floral patterns, design and landscape. Métis beadwork is important part of our culture. Beading is an art form that has been passed down from many generations in Métis families. During this workshop you will create your own floral painted design using a technique by dotting the paint to represent a bead. This skill takes time and patience. You will leave with your own unique floral piece. Recommended for those 8Y-99Y.

This event celebrates BC Rivers Day and World Rivers Day which is held on the 4 Sunday in September every year. This year’s event promises to be filled with lots of fun and interactive environmental displays, live music, face painting, carnival games and live northern spotted owls on site!
