You may feel your family's and friends' problems are trivial compared to those of the victims you just left, and their complaints may make you angry. Try to remember they don’t share your experience and that their problems are important to them.
The Maple Ridge / Pitt Meadows ESS Public Education Committee educates and assists residents and businesses to be better prepared for an emergency or disaster, such as floods, fires or earthquakes.
The ESS Public Education Committee volunteers deliver emergency preparedness presentations to neighbourhood groups, service organizations, churches, school groups, as well as attend community special events. The committee will also identify and develop training opportunities for fellow ESS volunteers.
