    Cross's Cabins

Over the past 4 summers, community members have been working with City of Maple Ridge Artist-in-Residence Robi Smith to make handmade lanterns that reflect different elements of the river ecosystem, from salmon to ducks to a giant sturgeon. On Aug 24 and 25, join us for the grand finale of the River of Light as we install and light the lanterns for the last time among the trees and rocks adjacent to Davidson's Pool. As the evening light falls into darkness, meander along a magical river of light through the trees and sparkling on the water. On August 25, City of Maple Ridge Artist-in-Residence Kat Wahamaa will host an evening of songs and stories to accompany the illuminated ecosystem. See http://ferncrescent.ca for details.
