  5. Maple Ridge Concert Band - O Canada Concert

    April 24, 2017, 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM @ The ACT Arts Centre

    The Maple Ridge Concert Band (MRCB) is very proud to share the stage with the Winkler Prins Harmonie Band from Veendam, Netherlands on Monday, April 24th, 2017. As a special feature, Canadian composer Mr. Bob Buckley, will conduct his piece “Walking to the Sky” with both the MRCB Performance band and the Winkler Prins Harmonie Band playing together on stage. There is a special bond that the people of the Netherlands share with Canadians. The Maple Ridge Concert Band will recognize this with a plaque made by local glass artist Jane Mackay to be jointly presented by the Mayor, our MLA and our MP to the Winkler Prins Harmonie Band in commemoration of their participation in Canada’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
