Air Service

The Pitt Meadows Regional Airport is the only Fraser Valley airport located on the Fraser River's north side. It is located 2.5 km east of the junction of the Pitt and Fraser rivers, and serves the area north of the Fraser River from Mission up to and including Vancouver.

Greyhound Bus

Greyhound is well known for its regularly scheduled passenger service, they also offer charter and tour packages for businesses, conventions, schools and other groups.

Equipped with 10 large vehicles HandyDART provides a door-to-door service for people who have difficulty using regular buses, particularly those with special needs.

Maple Ridge Transportation Plan Update

The District of Maple Ridge is currently in the process of updating the Strategic Transportation Plan. The District's existing Long-Range Transportation Plan was developed in 2003. Since the existing Transportation Plan was adopted, there have been a number of changes to land use patterns and the transportation network within Maple Ridge and the surrounding area such as the Golden Ears Bridge and Pitt River Bridge.

Updating the Strategic Transportation Plan will guide decision-making for transportation over the next 25 years and beyond, and will recommend improvements for all modes of transportation, including walking, cycling, public transit, and vehicles. This process is important to ensure that transportation investments work towards achieving the District's strategic goals and help shift towards a more sustainable future. The District is holding a Public Input Session [PDF, 417KB] on May 22, 2013, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Municipal Hall. Your attendance and input is welcomed.

Public Transit

TransLink provides bus service to, from, and within Maple Ridge connecting various parts of Maple Ridge with the central Haney Place Mall. In addition, there is a route linking the community to the rest of the Lower Mainland through the Coquitlam station. Visit TransLink's website for transit service improvements and changes for all of the bus routes. You can plan your bus trip using Google Transit complete with itineraries and maps.

West Coast Express

West Coast Express operates Monday to Friday during peak commuter periods. Trains are made up of four to eight cars each with seating capacity for 148 people. The cars are wheelchair accessible and are equipped with bicycle tie-downs, computer plug-ins, work stations, and washrooms. Stops are located at 22300 River Road and 20010 Dunn Avenue in Maple Ridge, as well at 12258 Harris Road in Pitt Meadows.
