Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows boast a wide variety of leisure facilities. In addition to public facilities, many private organizations offer recreation opportunities. Riding clubs and Equestrian centres also flourish in our communities, as well as a unique network of horse trails that are protected under the Official Community Plan. The Trail Network encompasses over 100 km of local riding and hiking trails, as well as 50-60 km in nearby Golden Ears Provincial Park. Many fitness centres, gymnastics clubs, dance studios, and martial arts organizations also help to keep Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows very active communities.
Community Parks provide large open spaces for sports activities and to meet overall community needs. Regional and Provincial Parks add to the list of available outdoor recreation venues.
