Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows boast a wide variety of leisure facilities. In addition to public facilities, many private organizations offer recreation opportunities. Riding clubs and Equestrian centres also flourish in our communities, known as the "Horse Trails Capital of Canada." Many fitness centres, gymnastics clubs, dance studios, and martial arts organizations also help to keep Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows very active communities.

Curling Rink

Fairgrounds

The Albion Fairgrounds have several buildings available for public use:

  • Commercial Building & Exhibition Building - two assembly halls with concrete floors, can be used for activities such as floor hockey, soccer, baseball and more.
  • Beef Barn - has an open sawdust floor, perfect for an indoor riding ring.
  • Stage - appropriate for an outdoor theatre.
  • Show Rings - good for judging events such as dog shows.
  • Outdoor Riding Ring - for outdoor equestrian events.
  • Kitchen - when reserving another building for a special event, you can also book the kitchen.

Greg Moore Youth Centre

Maintenance Closure:  Facility closed Jan 4-10, 2010

The youth centre provides a safe and secure location for youth 13 - 18 years old, offering positive alternatives including recreation, social, education, and physical opportunities, counselling, training and health services. There is an area for basketball, floor hockey, skateboarding, rock climbing, and indoor soccer, as well as a lounge area with a big screen TV, games area with three pool tables, foosball, air hockey, and a quiet area for conversation and a computer room. Leisure Centre

11925 Haney Place, Maple Ridge, BC
This award-winning centre features a weight training room, raquetabll and squash courts, full size gymnasium as well as a 6 lane 25 metre competition pool, a 4 lane 25 metre teach pool, a leisure pool, toddlers pool, large swirl pool, water slide and warm wading pool. Wheelchair lifts are available for all pools and Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy services are also available within the facility. Facility Schedules

Pitt Meadows Family Recreation Centre

The facility includes a youth centre, a seniors' lounge, a preschool and daycare, a sports hall, a multi-purpose room, a craft studio and a fitness and weight training room as well as a Community Policing Office. Facility Schedules

Maple Ridge Lawn Bowling Club

Seniors Centre

This modern facility covers 26,000 square feet including a beauty parlour, pool room and workshop. The banquet hall can be divided into three large activity rooms for table tennis, carpet bowling and games. A sizable lounge accommodates lunches, dinners and snack bar; socializing and games. Activity rooms are used for cards, crafts, support groups, workshops and meetings.
