Chief Administrative Officer's Office
The Administration Division (CAO) is responsible for the overall administration of the District's departments, developing corporate policy, providing leadership and direction for senior staff in the day-to-day and long-term business affairs of the District in accordance with Council's Strategic Plan, and providing advice to Council about District organization and operating procedures. The Division consists of four departments: Communications, Human Resources, Strategic Economic Initiatives, and Sustainability and Corporate Planning.
Community Development, Parks & Recreation Services
The Community Development, Parks & Recreation Services (CDPR) Division's role is to ensure coordination of resources in the management and development of parks, delivery of recreation and leisure services, and act as a networking agent, information broker, and community resource for citizens. Identified community needs are addressed by a variety of approaches from the direct provision of services to establishing partnerships which leverage expertise and funding from other sources. In addition, we are responsible for carrying out corporate initiatives as directed by Council and the Corporate Management Team, and we attend to enquiries and request for assistance from fellow staff, Council members, and the general public. The division consists of three departments: Community Services, Parks & Facilities, and Recreation.
Corporate & Financial Services
The Corporate & Financial Services Division is responsible for making recommendations to merge and align strategic planning, best practices, performance measures, and budget priorities that guide decision-making in our organization. In addition, we are responsible for carrying out corporate initiatives as directed by Council and the Corporate Management Team (CMT), and we attend to enquiries and requests for assistance from staff, Council, and the public. The division consists of three departments: Clerks, Finance, and Information Services. Corporate & Financial Services also provides support to the RCMP, Police Services, and the Fire Department and is responsible for maintaining and improving the website.
Public Works & Development Services
The Public Works & Development Services Division (PWDS) is responsible for carrying out corporate initiatives as directed by Council. The Division manages the District's activities with respect to the administration and implementation of municipal policies, bylaws, and services. These services include development processing, the issuance of building permits and business licences, and the construction, operation and maintenance of municipal infrastructure. In addition, the Division attends to enquiries and requests for assistance from the general public. The Ridge Meadows Recycling Society liaises with Council through the Division. The division consists of four departments: Engineering, Planning, Operations, and Licences, Permits and Bylaws. The Ridge Meadows Recycling Society liaises with Council through this division.
