The District of Maple Ridge, Heritage Awards [PDF, 747KB] program recognizes significant contributions to heritage conservation in the municipality. The program is coordinated by the Community Heritage Commission and the annual awards are being held during Heritage Week. This year's event will be held on Wednesday, February 22 at St. Andrews Heritage Hall at 7:30 pm. Nominations closed October 17.
2011 Winners
- Special Contributor to Heritage Conservation - Don Merkley (posthumous)
- Significant Contribution to the Preservation of Historical Documents - Parents and Staff of Mount Crescent Elementary
- Sheila Nickols Heritage Achievement Award for Community History and Heritage Teaching - Maple Ridge Library
- Heritage Landscape Award - Artists: Bruce Walther and Ann Wilson; Maple Ridge Museum: Val Patenaude;
