Maytag Corporation

The Electrical Safety Authority is notifying the public that Maytag Corporation has announced a voluntary recall of approximately 160,000 dishwashers [PDF, 224KB].  Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately.

Underwriters' Laboratories

Find listings of recently posted items that are hazardous and have fraudulent or unauthorized Underwriters Laboratories markings. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) has developed more than 800 Standards for Safety. Millions of products and their components are tested to UL's safety standards with the result that consumers live in a safer environment than they would have otherwise. Approved products bear the official UL or ULC mark. Underwriters' Laboratories of Canada shows approved UL and ULC marks that are found on products that have met their safety standards.
