Car Wash

The Summer car wash supports the Burn Unit at Vancouver General Hospital and Children's Hospital. Firefighters wash 300 - 500 vehicles each year at this event in a local parking lot which is converted into a "drive through" car wash.
On Saturday, July 23, 2011 the Maple Ridge Firefighters were at the Baptist Church parking lot on the corner of Lougheed Highway and 222 Street from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for their annual car wash. Approximately 250 cars were washed and $3,800.00 was raised for the Burn Unit at Vancouver General Hosptal and Children's Hospital.
