What You Can Do
Start your emergency planning today. Here are some things you can do to better prepare yourself to face a range of emergencies-anytime, anywhere:
- Know the disaster risks specific to your neighbourhood. For example, flooding in low-lying areas
- Make a plan so you and your family know what to do in case of an emergency
- Prepare a 72-hour emergency kit
- Get an Emergency Planning Guide
Take Action for Maple Ridge! Use the My Commitment Form [PDF, 128KB] to list actions you and your family can do to help make Maple Ridge one of the most sustainable communities in the world. Then post the list at your home, classroom or place of business. Encourage friends, family and co-workers to make their own commitment!
