Budget Q & A

On Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 6:00 to 6:45 pm, Maple Ridge citizens joined us online and in Council Chambers as we reviewed the Business and Financial Planning Guidelines for 2017-2021. A question and answer session followed. If you missed the live stream you can view it now

Once approved by Council, these Guidelines set the parameters for the next Financial Plan (the “budget”), that Council will receive in late November/early December.

We were able to answer most of the questions that were received before and during the session. All of the questions, including those that we were not able to get to during the session, have been answered and are available online.
Another question and answer session will be held following business planning presentations in December.

Any Time Input

We invite citizens and stakeholders each year to provide comments on the Financial Plan. The first and recommended opportunity comes in the spring, when Council considers guidelines that will direct staff in the preparation of the Financial Plan. The second opportunity is in November/December, when Council formally considers the proposed Financial Plan. In addition, your comments and questions are welcome any time of year.
