The City of Maple Ridge is planning to improve pedestrian and cycling facilities on Hammond Road from West Street to 203 Street by providing a 3.0m multi-use path on the north side of Hammond Road. The MUP, which includes pathway lighting, will create a safe and inviting pedestrian and cycling facility on Hammond Road to the West Coast Express.
Wedler Engineering LLP has been awarded the contract for the detailed design and construction is anticipated to commence in summer 2020.
An Information Session will be scheduled for the spring, which will be advertised on the City of Maple Ridge website and in the local newspaper. Conceptual design boards will be on display at the Information Session and the public will have an opportunity to provide input on the design.
