The City is planning water system improvements to the north east region of Maple Ridge (east of 240 Street and north of Dewdney Trunk Road) over the next two years. These improvements and upgrades to three water reservoirs and two water pump stations will build in system redundancy, provide additional fire storage, and respond to growth and new developments that the City is experiencing in that area. The projects are as follows:
Rock Ridge Reservoir - Tank 2 is now substantially complete.
McNutt Road Reservoir - Tank 2 involves the construction of a new 1.0 million litre bolted steel tank adjacent to the existing tank. The project has been awarded to Industra Construction Corp. and completion of the tank is planned for summer of 2017. Visit the project page.
270A Street Reservoir – Tank 2 involves the construction of a new 1.6 million litre bolted steel tank adjacent to the existing tank. The project is in the design phase and construction of the tank is planned to start in the fall of 2017.
270A Street Pump Station Replacement – the design is planned to be complete by summer of 2017, with construction complete by summer 2018.
263 Street Pump Station Replacement – the design is planned to be complete by spring of 2017, with construction complete by spring 2018.
